Hello there!
My name is Daniel Rutter, and I'm a 20 year old 'Hybrid' film maker. New to the world that is film-making, I've spent the last three years making home movies with my siblings. Bored and tired of the same old crap, I've decided to pick up my camera, and move on into the professional world.
I took a big leap from my short films-with-family days... stepping right into the puddle that is feature films. I've been planning and assembling an action film on and off for the last twelve months, pruning the script of all the dead/useless bits, and shaping it into a half-decent film script. This is just one of many projects I have planned for the next two years, and I need your help to get me through my first!
I'm a hybrid film maker. I'm a director, cinematographer/DOP, Photographer, Editor, Writer, Amateur actor... and I'm known to choreograph a few fight scenes as well. I consider myself a visual director, and I see every scene in my head before I even make it to location. I envision every part, take notes of what I see in my head... and try and film that vision on the day. This is part of my process, which I then take into the editing room. I cut the occasional corner, I can be a bit lazy... but in the end, I go back and do it again!
