About the Director
In 2009 William Head graduated from the documentary course at the Victorian College of the Arts. In 2010 he was selected to screen has graduating film, Night Fare, at the Australian International Documentary Conference in the F4 – First Factual Film Festival for emerging filmmakers and has also been nominated as a finalist for two 2010 ATOM awards. He received the VCA award for Most Daring and Innovative Production (non-fiction) and was a recipient of both the Margaret Lawrence Social Justice Fund Award and the Anthony Ganim Postgraduate Award. His latest project We Are Illuminated, a short film about the Melbourne night, has been selected to be produced as part of Open Channel and Screen Australia's Raw Nerve program. His 2008 film about living in Amsterdam, Buiten, was a finalist in the Lonely Planet World Wide Encounters Film Festival. William has written for Screen Hub and also teaches documentary filmmaking.
About the Producer
Lester has been producing content for over fifteen years. In that time he has worked on many short films, TVC’s, TV, corporate videos and online content. After graduating from VCA in 2007 Lester maintained his connection with the school by producing two graduating films; Boxer, and The Driver and The Bride. Boxer was selected for MIFF, Dendy Awards, Flickerfest, and Munich Film Festival where it won best short film. Recently another short film Lester produced, Soy Milk won best short film at The Indian Film Festival 2010 with the prize being a producers internship at a Bollywood studio. Currently Lester is producing a documentary in Sri Lanka which is being sponsored by Dilmah Tea and developing a few projects to be delivered in late 2010.
