We'd love you to be a part of our show...
Written by Neil LaBute, reasons to be pretty is a funny, confronting and highly relevant examination of the importance contemporary society places on physical beauty.
Greg (played by Paul Denny; an AFI Award nominee from the ABC hit series Lowdown) starts off this comedy firmly in the hot seat with his girlfriend Steph, as he's been overheard innocently remarking that she is not as pretty as one of the girls he works with. As a result, all hell breaks loose...and Greg struggles to keep his world from falling apart.
For this upcoming season, Square Peg Productions have assembled a superb, seasoned cast (Paul Denny, Rebecca Denny, Eleanor Howlett and Johnny McNamara) as well as a fantastic director (VCA Director's Course graduate Eddy Segal), and did we mention that the very talented Isabel Hutton will be designing?

The season will run from 31 May - 17 June 2012 at Melbourne's Theatre Works in St Kilda.
To sum up: we have the Melbourne Premiere of an amazing play, a stellar cast and creative team and the support of a great venue... and here's where we'd love you to be a part of our production.

As with all independent artistic endeavours, finances to pay for the fundamentals can sometimes be a stretch. With rehearsal space, publicity, theatre hire, set, costumes, props and the ever increasing "other" expenses on the list, we need your support to stage this show.
We can get this production up and running with only $5000. We're pretty excited. Many hands make light work, and this is where you come in! :)
The reason Pozible works so well is because even $10 or $20 can make a big difference. Of course $50 or more makes a massive difference. The more you pledge, the more rewards you reap once the show is up and running! There are rewards associated with each pledge; in the right hand column you can see details of these for each contribution.
