Project Description
Blackbirds need your support to help fund their first independent album release and Australian tour!
After getting close to a record deal through our appearances on "Australia's Got Talent" this year, we bowed out in the semi-final but we
refuse to let that stop us sharing our music with people who appreciate
what we do.
Thanks to an amazing response from fans across the internet we've been encouraged to hold onto our dream of independently releasing an album and touring across Australia.
With the initial financial support of our fans, we managed to secure a recording studio session to record our first album. We're asking for you to support our FundBreak project so that we can mix, master, design, print, press, and distribute the album and finally realise our Blackbirds dream!
There's still a lot of work to be done, but after running through the costs we know we can deliver this album for just $10 000. We're committed to touring the album as well, and if we manage to beat our fundraising goal we'd love to tour as far and wide as the budget can take us!

About us
From the colourful streets of Byron Bay, Blackbirds brings an eloquence and simple elegance to sound which is most likened to a harmonic bath of honey. Guitar, ukulele, male and female vocal harmonies and percussion all combine to create a beautiful Blackbirds sound.
Blackbirds multi-instrumentalist Adi grew up in Lombok, Indonesia playing pots and pans and anything that would make a sound. He plays the nylon string guitar like it's 3 instruments, laying down thick and juicy baselines beneath his guitar lines, and incorporating a percussive element.
Benhur, also from Indonesia, has a passion for ukulele that lines the music with twinkles of magic, his vocal range comfortably harmonising in his falsetto and crooning with his lower range.
The stunning Mama Renee is of Jamaican (African) descent and has a thick warm tone that soothes the soul and resonates in perfect harmony with her 'brotha to anotha motha' Benhur.
The band has daily ongoing dialogue with their fans on their Facebook page. Blackbirds are everyday people who are thrilled to be making music to bring joy to other everyday people simply because those people are asking for it.

Project By
Blackbirds music is about making an intimate connection with everyone in their company. Watching Blackbirds is like going to hang out with them in their lounge room. See them live and you'll see exactly what we mean. They are endearing and welcoming hosts, a pleasure at every show.
The success of this project will enable Blackbirds to bring their easy listening sound to more fans nationwide either by CD or on tour to a venue near you.
