'The Theatre' Television Series
Project Description
I'm Elliott. I am an actor and writer based in Sydney. I trained in acting, firstly in Australia then at RADA and the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London. I have performed in the West End and toured Europe as an artist. My writing partner, is an actor too. We have created the concept for the show and aim to have it made into a 30min x 6 Episode series.
The project is a pitch for a pilot TV series called 'The Theatre'. We want to make a 1 minute trailer for the series and enter it into a competition through The Movie Network. Being produced initially as a web series with intention to further develop to television broadcasting format. Our funding goal for the 1 minute trailer pitch is $2000. This is to cover rental of location/venue and camera lighting equipment. All creatives involved are working for free.
The shows format is comedy filmed in a 'mocumentary' style. As the show is set in a theatre, the characters have slightly heightened personalities and the situations they find themselves in are often farcical. The filming style and editing will be slightly 'theatrical' as well.
