THE PROJECT

In 2010, Sydney’s beloved Hyde Park celebrates it’s 200th Anniversary. ‘Life on Top of Hyde Park’ is a multimedia tribute to this green oasis. It is an engaging, lyrical parade of those exquisite, fleeting moments when nature, light and life merge to make magic.

The project sees the timeless photography of Pete Longworth blended to the hypnotic ‘Nouveau Classique’ music of Michael K. Chin, and all sweetly synchronized on film by Christopher Baron.

THE NUTSHELL

We are three emerging, Australian artists who have invested every penny we have, along with plenty of pennies we don’t have, to produce a creative showpiece of International standard.

This artistic collaboration brings the beauty of Sydney to a world stage by achieving global recognition and landing an ‘Official Selection’ in the New York Independent Film Festival.

With all the time, love and money that we invested to get the project to this point, we are now determined to be there in person as our dream reaches the doorstep of the best creatives on the planet.

We are seeking your support to be in attendance as our flagship piece, 'Another Time, Another Pace' screens in New York at the film festival. Along with the pride of physically seeing our piece being screened, a presence at this festival will provide an unprecedented networking opportunity to an International audience.



THE DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS

All funds donated simply go to the costs of flights to New York. If this becomes a reality, we will be sleeping on couches and eating two minute noodles, so living expenses are not really a factor, but a little extra never hurts... as it may pay for a hotdog or two.

If the adventure sets sail, you will be kept up-to-date with the entire experience as we document and broadcast online through YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.




THE BACKGROUND

Pete Longworth is a country kid and a photographer who spends the majority of his time on the road less-traveled. A talented storyteller with an eye for the uncommon, Pete has emerged as one of Australia’s most exciting young photographers.

Michael K. Chin is a world-class multimedia artist synchronising visual elements with live World music artists and electronic global beats to produce a unique, sophisticated sound.

Christopher Baron is a film maker with extensive industry experience. A multimedia wizard, Chris is the glue in this creative ensemble, bringing a wealth of artistic flavour as he combines the photography and music to a delightful audio and visual crescendo.
