Written when she was just 19, Polly’s Stenham’s stunning debut play is the exploration of an affluent family out of control.
Martha has been abandoned by her husband and left to raise her two teenage children alone. Martha has an addiction to prescription drugs; her son Henry has dropped out of school to care for her and her daughter, Mia is on the verge of expulsion from school.
Their world is turned on its head when their father returns from Hong Kong to fix the ‘problem’...
A wonderfully dark, theatrical and comic play that is a roller-coaster ride from start to finish.
Presented by five.point.one, THAT FACE will have its South Australian premiere at The Bakehouse Theatre, September 23 to October 8, 2011.
